Israeli elections in progress to find PM that will solve Gaza problem

JERUSALEM – Due to incumbent PM Ehud Olmert (Kadima Party) resigning and Acting-PM Tzipi Livni (Kadima) failing to form a coalition government,elections are taking place today to form the government that will handle Israel during the Gaza Conflict. Acting PM Tzipi Livni is expected to win and become Israel’s second female Prime Minister.

UPDATE 2/11: Both parties are claiming victory with 99.9% of precincts reporting. Livni's Centrist Kadima party is reportedly the winner by one seat. If Livni wins,it would be easier for Obama to carry out his plans for US-Israel relations.

UPDATE 2/22:Fmr PM Benjamin Netanyahu was selected by the country's head of state,President Shimon Peres to form the new government.
