LOS ANGELES – It seems Obama is still campaigning,but for a $1 Trillion Stimulus on the way. He traveled to Los Angeles for support for the bill.
WASHINGTON – Today,The Senate passed a $410 Billion Stimulus with TONS of earmarks. Pres. Obama said he’ll sign it but regrets the earmarks. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said Pres. Obama should just veto the bill and send it back to Congress. There goes your tax dollars.

NEW YORK – Bernie Madoff plead GUILTY on 11 charges of this enormous $50 Billion Fonzi Scheme in a plea deal. He apologized to his victims,but they were not satisfied.He has stated that he wants his family not to be involved and only he should be convicted/arrested. He started his sentence today and is prisoner number 61727054.
WASHINGTON – British PM Gordon Brown (Labour) addressed a joint-session of Congress saying the Financial Crisis is not a US problem,but a global problem and the US and UK should work together to fix our economies. DENVER – Today, Pres Obama signed the $787+ billion stimulus bill to go to education,public needs,healthcare,and for states. The bill from this money will eventually have to paid back,so unfortunately,taxes will raise. There are several tax breaks in payroll taxes,etc. But again,the next generation will have to pay for these taxes.
WASHINGTON – The Senate passed Pres. Obama’s stimulus and recovery bill. The Senate version has $20+ billion more than the House version. It is going to a committee and is expected to be signed by next week.The bill passed with only 3 GOP votes. It won by 61-30+ votes.
UPDATE: 2/11/09: The bill was reduced to $789 after being revised.
WASHINGTON – The $800+ billion stimulus bill passed in the House with NO GOP support,is expected to go through the Senate today. GOP Senators are planning to vote NO on the bill,but those states’ GOP Governors are pushing their Senators to vote for it,just for the cash. GOP Senators have said that the bill has a lot of flaws. For example,only $7+ billion is needed for education,while the bill provides $11+ billion. GOP Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and top Republicans met with Pres. Obama. Obama hoped to get bi-partisan support for his bill,which does have too much government spending. According to the GOP,there is too much ‘pork’ in the bill,which 2008 Pres Candidate John McCain promised to cut out. But since the Democrats are the majority,it is expected to be passed,but the GOP insists on revising it first.
WASHINGTON - Pres-Elect Obama is pushing Congress to pass a stimulus
package. But even Democrats in the Senate are opposed to this bill. His former rival,Sen John McCain (R-AZ) said that he needs more details of Obama's plan before he agrees to it.
