TRAITOR and DEFECTER: Sen. Arlen Specter , the GOP’s Benedict Arnold

Arlen Specter

PENNSYLANIA – Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) has defected to the Democratic Party and betrayed the GOP, has made the Democrats a super majority in the Senate. He said the GOP is moving further to the RIGHT. Well,Mr. Benedict Arnold, the Democrats are moving further towards the CPSU (Comm. Party of the Soviet Union). Sen. Specter said that As the Republican Party has moved farther and farther to the right, I have found myself increasingly at odds with the Republican philosophy and more in line with the philosophy of the Democratic Party. It also showed that if he wished to run for re-election,he wouldn’t win the GOP nomination. Our only hope to keep them out of 60+ majority,is to keep fighting for Norm Coleman’s seat in Minnesota.

BREAKING NEWS: If Senator Gregg accepted Obama's offer to be the next Secy of Commerce. If Gregg was confirmed by the Senate, he would have had to resign his Senate seat and be replaced with an appointment by Democratic Gov. John Lynch. Sources from both parties have confirmed that Gregg's former chief of staff, Republican Bonnie Newman, would have been chosen to replace him.The Washington Post had alleged that Gregg would not accept the appointment unless Gov. Lynch agreed to appoint a Republican to fill his seat until 2010.This means the Democrats will not gain a filibuster majority,no matter what the outcome of Minnesota.

Senate votes on Obama $800+ billion Stimulus today

WASHINGTON – The $800+ billion stimulus bill passed in the House with NO GOP support,is expected to go through the Senate today. GOP Senators are planning to vote NO on the bill, but those states’ GOP Governors are pushing their Senators to vote for it,just for the cash. GOP Senators have said that the bill has a lot of flaws. For example, only $7+ billion is needed for education, while the bill provides $11+ billion. GOP Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and top Republicans met with Pres. Obama. Obama hoped to get bi-partisan support for his bill, which does have too much government spending. According to the GOP,there is too much ‘pork’ in the bill, which 2008 Pres Candidate John McCain promised to cut out. But since the Democrats are the majority,it is expected to be passed, but the GOP insists on revising it first.
