BREAKING NEWS:Comedian Al Franken wins Norm Coleman's Senate Seat

ST. PAUL,MN - It is confirmed that Comedian Al Franken (D) has won the Minnesota Senate election. Incumbent Norm Coleman (R) is challenging his win n the recount. Minnesota has an awkward and weird and kinda dumb political structure. They elected a former wrestler,Jesse Ventura governor in 1999. Norm Coleman is expected to contest the election. He was until Jan. 12. It seems 2009 may be the year for Democrats...but will the GOP fight back next year during Senate elections?

UPDATE: Incumbent Norm Coleman (R) is challenging this win with the State of Minnesota. It may take months or weeks to determine who officially gets the seat. The Governor of Minnesota is Tim Pawlenty (R) and Secy of State Mark Ritchie (D)
who will appoint the winner by Jan 12 or later.
