********************WASHINGTON - President George W. Bush gave his final farewell speech to the nation. He gave his farewell speech in front of cabinet members,family members,and the media in the East Room of the White House. He reflected his years in the White House from 9/11 to the Iraq War. He reflected on the new freedoms Iraqis have now and the overthrow of Taliban rule in Afghanistan. He said he would do somethings differently throughout his presidency.He also thanked those who have fought for our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Despite record low job approval ratings, most Americans think George W. Bush is a good person. And as he prepares to leave the presidency, more than twice as many people think history will be cruel to Bush as think history will be kind.
According to a FOX News poll taken during Bush's final full week in office, 34 percent of Americans say they approve of the job he is doing and 58 percent disapprove — his highest positive rating since December of 2007.
