
WASHINGTON House Democrats allowed Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) , the former 2000 Democratic VP Nominee,to keep his Senate position as a Chairman of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs,even after he backed Sen. McCain during the election. House Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said 'This is not a time for retribution'. Lieberman is officially an Independent-Democrat,but votes with the majority party, the Democrats.
